Brev takes a smaller approach to email

Outlook combines mail with the Microsoft work stack. Brev concentrates on personal mail, local search, offline continuity and a native Mac workflow. It does not reproduce Exchange administration, Teams, add-ins or corporate policy controls.

Where Brev fits today

Brev suits Mac users who want a focused client for supported personal accounts. Microsoft 365 is excluded from the current preview because credible support requires complete authentication, mailbox, calendar and migration behavior.

Mac first

The desktop application is native to macOS.

Local and scriptable

The mailbox mirror powers both the graphical app and the Brev CLI.

Microsoft 365 is not included

Microsoft 365, Exchange workflows and Windows are outside the current preview.

Outlook remains right for the complete Microsoft stack

Use Outlook when shared mailboxes, Exchange calendars, corporate policy, add-ins or Windows integration are essential. Join the Brev interest list if your ideal alternative is a smaller native mail client and Microsoft 365 support is the missing requirement.
