What the preview form stores
The form stores your email address, platform, providers, current client, account-count range, optional primary interest, referring page and optional switching note. It is used to select preview cohorts and contact you about Brev. It is not sold.
What anonymous analytics count
When configured, brevmail.com sends allowlisted page, call-to-action, pricing, form-start and stored-conversion events to PostHog in the EU through a first-party proxy. Events use a random identifier kept only in session storage. Brev disables person profiles, IP and geolocation processing, cookies, autocapture, surveys, session recordings, exceptions and console capture. Analytics never receives form email addresses, switching notes, mailbox content, subjects, recipients, contacts, raw URLs or query parameters. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track disable analytics capture.
Where preview responses live
Preview responses are stored in a dedicated private SQLite database on Brev's self-hosted VPS. The database contains one normalized row per email and is included in access-controlled local daily snapshots. Local snapshots are retained for 30 days and are not off-site disaster recovery. Email privacy@brevmail.com from the signup address to correct or delete a response.
What stays on your computer
The Brev desktop application keeps its mailbox mirror, drafts, search index and cached message content on your computer and connects directly to your configured mail provider. The website signup service and website analytics do not receive message bodies, subject lines, recipients, sender identities, contacts, attachments or searches from the desktop application.
